Destiny calls in many ways. Who will answer their own individual call. For some its a lifetime of training and preparation, for others the time comes quickly or in an unexpected manner. All however will find a sense or belonging, a chance to do something greater than themselves. Each new day brings new challenges.
Our predecessors USS Harbinger and USS Hokkaido have a long legacy serving the Federation. That task has now been given to a new Vikrant Class ship, USS Victorious. Come help us continue the honor and tradition of carrying a mighty torch. We are the guardians of the night.
Its not always easy. We choose to defend those who cannot protect themselves. The year is 2388, though the Dominion war is over and Exploration is a priority dark tides are rising once again. As the balance of power shifts and tensions rise Starfleet faces it toughest task yet. Who will have the strength and courage to survive?

Character of the Year
How to nominate " COs nominate
to the Fleet Services Director. Members of crews can also nominate anyone
they feel deserving of this award. These nominations must be approved by
the sim's CO. Only one nomination can go forward from each sim.

William Riker XO of the Year
How to nominate " nominate to

James T. Kirk CO of the Year
How to nominate " Task Force
COs and Task Group COs nominate a CO under their command to the Fleet
Services Director. They can approve nominations made to them by
individuals or crews, but only one nomination can go forward from each TG
(TGCO's come under TG Indie in their TF and TFCO's come under IFO). More

Sim of the Year is chosen from the sims that won each of the preceding 12
months' Gold Unit of Merit awards.
Once all nominations are in, the Fleet Services Director will compile a
list for the Fleet Council to vote on. All nominations must be in by the
11th of January.

First off please welcome our new addition to Victorious. We now have an Assistant Chief Intelligence Officer.
Next our new mission will be starting this coming week. Things have been too silent. I know that only two people requested an LOA. We had a better month in July with posts and I like to see that improve even more. Lets see what you're character does when they are on duty, off duty, etc. I know you have some great stories to tell.

Here's the deal I'm wrapping up the current mission this weekend. If you want to participate then you need to be active and post. I've said before this will be ending in July. The lack of response to my messages indicates people have lost interest in this mission so I won't drag it out.
Our goal is to communicate with the entity that has been causing the issue and free it from the ship. After we free the alien we're headed back to a starbase for resupply and repairs.
MD 10 & 11 are now open.
Find a way to communicate with the entity - (All Departments)
CAP around Victorious - (Fighters)
Treat patients coming to sickbay - (Medical & Counseling)
Security - (Marines)
We'll be headed into an official shore leave for Aug. Just because it will be a downtime mission doesn't mean you can slack off on posting. Our goal is 3 posts per player a month or more.
I'll be laying more of this out in a separate email but its always been the policy of this sim that promotions and awards are not based on how long you've been with the sim. Activity/Participation both in-character and out-of-character are important because that is what promotions and awards are based on.

Activity is being monitored by TFCO so we all need to do our part to contribute to the plot. I'd like to see our current mission wrapped up by mid July at the latest. That way we can move forward on to something new.
Here's the thing I'm expecting more than JP's from everyone, no excuses. For the month of July I want to see:
1 Solo post
1 Joint post
1 Personal post
That is the minimum, writing more than those 3 posts for the month would be great. Once again I'll say that 2 lines does not make a post. Everything you write should more than 3 paragraphs.
Now aside from that I'm working for ideas for recruiting and working on the website. If you have ideas send them my way. This includes any ideas you may have for subplots for your own characters.
